n this video Michael Phelps reflects on his career so far, from being afraid to put his face in the water at 7 years old, to breaking his first world record aged 15.
"I don't see myself being some superhuman person, I consider myself just a normal human being who found a passion they love and doesn't give up"
His next mission is to inspire children to lead a healthy and active lifestyle and to grow interest in swimming through setting up his own swim schools on the East side of America.
Michael Phelps isn't just an inspiration for aspiring athletes but his work ethic and outlook on success is inspirational for any goals - sport related or not.
"If I can look back at my career and say I've done everything I've wanted to, then I think it's a success."
